The Global Sumud Flotilla continues sailing toward Gaza despite an Israeli naval attack on January 15 that injured 30 activists and left four reporting sexual assault, organizers announced from their lead vessel Tuesday. Two participants, Saif Abu Keshek and Thiago Ávila, were forcibly taken to Israel where they faced terrorism charges and endured beatings and torture during their 72-hour detention before their release on January 18.
