Insider Wire is an independent American news organization built on the ideals that once defined journalism: honesty and independence. We report on breaking news, politics, conflict, technology, and culture.
Launched in July 2024, Insider Wire was funded to cover stories the establishment press tends to ignore, soften, or spin to serve a preferred narrative. We tell them plainly, in the present tense, in language Americans actually use. Our reporting has been picked up and cited by news organizations across the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and beyond.
Our Values
Accuracy
We aim to deliver the most accurate information in the most timely manner possible. Every story is sourced. Corrections are issued openly, and on the record, when we make a mistake.
Speed
Breaking news is measured in minutes, sometimes in seconds. We have deployed a team built to break the story first, or to produce the most reliable timeline of what is known.
Independence
We are not owned by a conglomerate, funded by a party, or steered by a press office. Insider Wire is privately owned and sponsor-supported. Our coverage answers to our readers, and to no one else.
Belief in the American Project
Our coverage of this country and its leaders can be sharply critical, and it should be. But we are critical because we believe in this country: in its founding ideals, in its constitutional order, and in its capacity to correct course. We make no apology for distinguishing freedom from unfreedom, the rule of law from mob rule, or honest reporting from propaganda.
Our Team
Insider Wire is written and edited by a small, independent team. Every story we publish carries a real byline, and every byline links back to the person who reported it.

Ownership & Funding
Ownership
Insider Wire is independently owned and operated by InsiderWire Inc. The company is privately held and is not part of any larger media conglomerate. It has no corporate parent, no outside investors with editorial influence, and no political affiliations.
Funding
Operating revenue is derived from two sources: display advertising served via Google AdSense, and reader and sponsor support through our subscribe and donate pages. We do not accept payment, gifts, or other consideration in exchange for editorial coverage. Sponsored or paid content, when it appears, is clearly labeled as such and is produced separately from our newsroom.
Editorial Independence
Reporters and editors make all decisions about what stories to cover, how to cover them, and when to publish. Business and advertising teams have no role in editorial decisions. We do not offer favorable coverage in exchange for advertising, access, or any other consideration.
Accountability
Our readers are our most important stakeholders, and we are accountable to them above all else. See our editorial standards & ethics, which include our corrections policy.
