U.S. District Judge Richard Leon temporarily blocked the Trump administration Wednesday from enforcing sanctions against Francesca Albanese, a United Nations human rights investigator whose recent work has focused on Israel's military campaign against Hamas in Gaza. The judge ruled that Secretary of State Marco Rubio's sanctions violate the First Amendment in a 47-page decision issued from the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
